Gemini is now accepting proposals for observing time in Semester 2018B. The submission deadline varies with participant. A new version of the Phase I Tool (PIT) has been released to support proposal submissions.
In preparation for the start of 2018A all Director's Discretionary (DD) time and Poor Weather (PW) proposals must now use the 2018A Phase I Tool (PIT). Please see the PIT Version Table for more information and download links.
The Gemini 2018A observing programs have now been announced. Notification emails to successful PIs were sent today, December 15 2017. Please check the schedules page for more information. Note that the new Observing Tool must be used to access and update 18A programs.
The Gemini North observing database will be offline on Tuesday December 5 from 10am - noon (HST) for hardware maintenance.

The 2018A Gemini Observing Tool is now available for download. This update is required to access the Gemini Observing Databases.
The Installation Instructions are linked on the Observing Tool web page, and we recommend that everyone download their programs from the databases rather than import from saved XMLs.
The Gemini observing databases will be offline for several hours on Tuesday November 28 while we perform software updates.

Gemini North as of July 10 2017 is in a scheduled shutdown for dome shutter repair and instrument maintenance. The shutdown is planned to be completed by August 25 2017.
