The lower two thirds of this image is a detailed view of supersonic "bullets" of gas and the wakes created as they pierce through clouds of molecular hydrogen in the Orion Nebula. The round (fisheye) image at of this montage is a photograph is the propagation of Gemini's laser guide star system (LGS) taken from the observing floor of Gemini North on Mauna Kea.
